Bookworm Delights|Top Ten Tuesday

Hosted by the lovelies over at The Broke and the Bookish! I love their amazing ideas and seeing how many people participate each week!

Today's Top Ten is:

The smell of ink and paper: There’s just no better way to calm and rejuvenate all of your senses than with a deep inhale of a book’s pages. The younger the book, the fresher the smell. The older the book, the more vintage the smell.

Unexpected finds: Everyone loves to save money, especially on something that they love. For a bookworm, like myself, I’m always on the book out for cheap reads. I will never pass up the chance to dig around in a large laundry cart filled with books at my local Goodwill. What’s even better about finding a bargain buy, is discovering that the book far exceeds your expectations.

Discovering your next favorite book/series: There are so many books and series to choose from today and the numbers just keep growing. As much as we bookworms would hate to admit, but there just isn’t enough room in our busy lives for every book. So, when finally coming across that series/book that just tears at your soul, jackknives your heart, or clouds your mind, you’ll need a few weeks to recover emotionally and mentally.

Rainy days: If the sun’s not shining, I’m not whining. Drab and dreary days are a bookworm’s best friend. It may be a while before they get to spend the entire day with their best friends again.

The overwhelming desire to reorganize/share your bookshelf: Wether it is by color, author, emotion, series, every bookworm has a system to shelving. I, for one, like the series method. I cannot stand the sight of the families being ripped apart and divided.

Fandom t-shirts/jewelry: We all have some. How else are you supposed to dress?Book exchanges/free libraries: I have yet to come across a free library on the street. However, from what I have seen, it looks incredibly interesting and fun. Take a book. Leave a book. Who wouldn’t like that?

Finding someone else in your fandom: Discussion. Discussion. Discussion. Literally the fuel to a fandom. Finding someone who can relate with you own asdfghjkl is a great feeling!

Beautiful covers: We all have that one book or books that are just there for decoration. We never intended to read it when we bought it, the cover was just too pretty to be left behind.

Creative must-have bookish products: Candles. Chairs. Vending machines. Booklights. Bookends. Just the miscellaneous objects that are an essential part of your reading experience.

  1. I love oddball bookish products!

  2. Book vending machines are my delights when I'm at the airport. I either get a book or just stare at the machine's beauty. Fandom stuff too! Some of them do cost more + the shipping but it's such a happy feeling once it's in your hands <3 Love the list!! - Here's my TTT

  3. I'm the same way, I LOVE rainy days! Great Top Ten! :)

  5. Although I can't stand rainy, gray days overmuch, I feel like I need a few more before summer. Reading is perfect for those days. I also am dying to fix my shelves, but I'm terrified to get started.
