Hosted by the lovelies over at The Broke and the Bookish! I love their amazing ideas and seeing how many people participate each week!
Today's Top Ten is:
The smell of ink and paper: There’s just no better way to calm and rejuvenate all of your senses than with a deep inhale of a book’s pages. The younger the book, the fresher the smell. The older the book, the more vintage the smell.
Unexpected finds: Everyone loves to save money, especially on something that they love. For a bookworm, like myself, I’m always on the book out for cheap reads. I will never pass up the chance to dig around in a large laundry cart filled with books at my local Goodwill. What’s even better about finding a bargain buy, is discovering that the book far exceeds your expectations.
Discovering your next favorite book/series: There are so many books and series to choose from today and the numbers just keep growing. As much as we bookworms would hate to admit, but there just isn’t enough room in our busy lives for every book. So, when finally coming across that series/book that just tears at your soul, jackknives your heart, or clouds your mind, you’ll need a few weeks to recover emotionally and mentally.
Rainy days: If the sun’s not shining, I’m not whining. Drab and dreary days are a bookworm’s best friend. It may be a while before they get to spend the entire day with their best friends again.
Fandom t-shirts/jewelry: We all have some. How else are you supposed to dress?Book exchanges/free libraries: I have yet to come across a free library on the street. However, from what I have seen, it looks incredibly interesting and fun. Take a book. Leave a book. Who wouldn’t like that?
Finding someone else in your fandom: Discussion. Discussion. Discussion. Literally the fuel to a fandom. Finding someone who can relate with you own asdfghjkl is a great feeling!
Creative must-have bookish products: Candles. Chairs. Vending machines. Booklights. Bookends. Just the miscellaneous objects that are an essential part of your reading experience.
